My Pet Nanny is a small, dedicated team of people providing animal care and companionship services to the pat parents of south-west London. We are always on the lookout for top-quality individuals to join our amazing team of pet sitters. If you have a deep passion for animals and their well-being, your skills may be a great match for us. In order to continue providing top quality services we require all of our Pet Nannies to possess an unshakeable moral compass which motivates them, unequivocally, to always do the right thing.

Additional individual skills/experience that are important factors in our selecting Pet Nannies:

Knowledge of animals, inclusive of dogs, cats and birds.

Knowledge of dog breeds and each breed's individual behaviours and issues.

Knowledge of cats, their breeds and behaviours.

Lead skills with walking dogs, especially those needing extra special care and handling.

Outstanding customer service skills with pet parents and their fur family.

Organisational skills: Ability to work independently, self-managing a busy schedule. You will have your visits pre-booked and it will be your responsibility to follow them through and to alert us of any time-related issues.

Basic knowledge of pet medications and how to administer them. Skills in giving medications such as insulin, pills, transdermal medications and subQ fluids are particularly desirable.

First Aid and CPR certification is a pre-requisite (we can supply you with this information).

Pet Sitting in the Client's Home

To become a My Pet Nanny Pet Sitter you must be a non-smoker, have your own transport, and be able to work approximately three to six months of each year. Experience with dogs, and ideally other pets, is essential. We have a wide range of clients and all expect the very best of care, so our reputation cannot be compromised. You must be active, versatile and able to cope in an emergency. Do you fit the criteria, below?

Have your own insured and reliable transport

Available for either/both short visits and longer overnight sits (sits are usually between 2 nights and 3 weeks) for at least 12 weeks per year.

Neat, tidy and respectful in the client's home.

Supply us with at least two personal/professional references, CRB check or Criminal Disclosure and proof of your own Public Liability insurance.

A qualification in Pet First Aid

(we will send the information you need to fulfil these requirements.)

Dog Day Care and Boarding in Your Home

If you no longer have your own pets but have had experience with your own dog(s), providing a loving home and becoming a carer can be both fun and rewarding for you and the dogs you take care of. Alternatively if you are a dog owner and your best friend would welcome a holiday guest, this can be great additional company for you both. If you feel you could open your heart and home to a dog, and you fit our criteria, below, we would be delighted to hear from you.
